EU HACKER LAWS COULD MAKE PROTESTING A CRIME
As reported in Tuesday's ILN, the EU's Justice Ministers
have agreed to new anti-hacking laws that carry severe
punishments. Critics have noted that the new measures could
be interpreted to outlaw the online organization of protests
as was the recent case involving anti-war protests. Several
commentators have noted the need to include more explicit
protection for free speech within the law.
